About the role

This role combines software consulting and engineering, where your contributions will range from providing technical expertise to implementing, customizing, and maintaining enterprise monitoring solutions for our clients. You will be involved in various stages of the project lifecycle, including refining solution specifications, establishing architectural guidelines, and sharing configuration best practices with the client team. You may also be responsible for managing portions or the entirety of the project, providing post-implementation support, or developing custom code.

As a solution architect you must have:

    • Previous experience in a similar client-facing consulting role, ideally with an IT Services or Consultancy business.
    • 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience in projects involving infrastructure and application monitoring.
    • Strong communication, presentation, and client relationship building skills.
    • Knowledge of best practices and industry standards such as ITIL Service Delivery processes.
    • Work closely with Service Owners to review service delivery quality with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Excellent skills in verbal and written English. 

 Necessary skills for this role:

    • Implementation and configuration of BMC TrueSight Operations Management and/or BMC Helix Operations Management Suite to monitor infrastructure, applications as well as business services.   
    • Development/configuration of event management and service management rules around Network, Storage, Databases, Operating Systems and Application Performance management.
    • Experience in integrating BMC solution to 3rd party monitoring solutions like Splunk, SCOM, OP5, Zabbix, DataDog, Prometheus, Nagios, Cisco Prime, Dynatrace etc.
    • Specification and implementation of interfaces to other systems management solutions.
    • Develop new customizations, integrations, and reports.
    • Experience from one of the following scripting languages are mandatory – Perl/Python/Shell scripting.
    • EU citizenship or resident in Sweden for past 3 years.

 Good to have skills:

    • BMC Certified Professional in BMC TrueSight Operations Management, BMC Helix Operations Management or BMC Discovery.
    • Experience from one of the following scripting languages are mandatory – TPL, MRL or PSL.
    • Troubleshooting and administration of BHOM components on on-prem platform.
    • Knowledge around other monitoring solution like for example Splunk, SCOM, OP5, Zabbix, DataDog, Prometheus, Nagios, Cisco Prime, Dynatrace etc.
    • Significant experience of design, engineering and consultancy of enterprise tools including elements such as discovery, system configuration, service automation and CMDB.
    • Agile WoW, SAFe, CI/CD.
    • Confluence, Jira, Ansible.
    • Cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Grafana.
